It was really cool just to get to hangout with a local who knows the ins and outs of where to go and where to eat. “The tour was very poorly organized, there was a captain who didn't speak english and requested a port fee (never gave the change). He was running around not knowing what to do. Obviously no water provided (even though the description said it would). When the boat took off, we were stopped by the marine guard to check all the documents, and apparently some documents were missing but at least they found the captain on the system so they let us go. The wait time all in all was ~1.5h. But we did see some whales - which is not surprising, because it's a whale season and has nothing to do…”

“We did this private whale watching excursion while in Puerto Vallarta as part of a cruise stop. I want to be clear that through no fault of the tour operator, the walk from the cruise port to the meeting point was pretty brutal — busy sidewalk, lots of traffic, and longer than expected. We walked there and back, and in hindsight, a short cab ride would have been the way to go. We did end up waiting a bit longer than planned for pickup, but once we were on the boat and headed out, it was absolutely worth it. It was a short ride before we started seeing whales, and…”

“The location was very very difficult to find on Apple Maps. In addition, we were not told that we needed to buy passshe onto the dock in the harbor which delayed us further. Lastly, the tour mentioned English speaking tour guide but that wasn’t really true. Boat driver was VERY nice but we couldn’t communicate very well. But it was a Good plan for someone that only wanted three hour experience.”
